Alejandro Loguercio

Venezuelan violinist Alejandrio Logercio began his musical education through the “El Sistema” program, founded by José Antonio Abreu in his hometown of Valencia. After initial studies at the Conservatory of Carabobo, he then continued his violin education at the University Institute of Musical Studies (IUDEM) with Prof. Roberto Valdes.

In 2000 he was the 1st Prize Winner of the International Violin Competition Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango in Bogota. After this success followed numerous concerts as both a chamber musician and a soloist throughout Venezuela.

Important musical influences have come from master classes at the Latin American Academy of Violin, as well as from master classes with José Francisco del Castillo, Yossi Siboni, Stoika Milanova, Alberto Lysy, Miller Homes, Shmuel Ashkenasy, Erich Hörbarth and Gerhard Schulz

Since 2003, Alejandro Loguercio has lived in Vienna and performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician with various ensembles. He is currently undertaking studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in both ‘Violin Performance’ with Prof. Klaus Maetzl and in ‘Chamber Music’ with Prof. Johannes Meissl.
